There are several different methods to determine your ring size easily. Since we strive to provide the most accessible and convenient approach, we have outlined one of the best methods that you can try on your own by following these steps:
1) Using the Paper or String MethodTo determine your ring size, you will need:
- A piece of paper or string
- A pen or pencil
- A ruler
- Scissors
Steps:
- Cut a thin strip of paper long enough to wrap around your finger.
- Wrap the paper around the base of the finger you want to measure. Ensure it is snug but not too tight.
- Mark the spot where the paper overlaps using a pen or pencil.
- Carefully remove the paper from your finger and place it on a flat surface.
- Use a ruler to measure the distance from the start of the paper to the mark you made.
- Compare this length to the Ring Size Chart (Table 1). Find the closest circumference value in the "Circumference" column and match it to the corresponding Arab or US size.
Tip: For maximum accuracy, repeat this process multiple times and take the average measurement.

2) Using an Existing Ring
- Select a ring that fits comfortably on your finger.
- Place the ring over the circles in the Ring Size Chart (Table 2).
- Match the inner diameter of the ring to the closest circle size.
- Cross-check with Table 1 to find the corresponding size in Arab or US measurements.
Important Notes for Measuring Your Ring Size
- This method provides an approximate ring size. A professional jeweler will give a more precise measurement using specialized tools. However, this guide serves as a useful starting point.
- When measuring, compare the inner diameter of your ring to the closest available size.
- If your measurement falls between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the slightly larger size for comfort.
- Use millimeters (mm) for the most accurate measurement, especially when using the paper or string method.
- Wrap the paper or string around the widest part of your finger, such as the knuckle, to ensure the ring slides on easily.
- Measure your fingers at the end of the day, when they are naturally at their largest size due to warmth.
- If you are unsure, consult your nearest jeweler for guidance.
